On the bank side, cannabis businesses keep their accounts because the bank can document its due diligence. Green Check (Bonita Springs, Florida), Shield Compliance (Seattle) and RiskScout give banks and credit unions onboarding, monitoring and reporting for cannabis accounts, and CRB Monitor (Nashville) maintains a database of cannabis licenses and beneficial owners for KYC checks — so an operator may meet one of these platforms when it opens an account.
