Rootwurks

Rootwurks is an Austin, Texas software company that sells an e-learning, training and compliance management platform to cannabis and food and beverage manufacturers. Chase Eastman is founder and CEO, and the platform was built by the founders of Alchemy Systems, now Intertek Alchemy, a food-industry training and compliance company. The cannabis version launched in May 2022 with content co-produced and vetted by the national cannabis law firm Vicente Sederberg LLP.

The platform is organized into learning, operations, risk assessment, communications and customization modules. Cannabis customers get compliance courses and short reinforcement modules, plus checklists that walk teams through regulatory tasks, assessments that measure performance, recordkeeping of completed tasks and internal audit tools. Reports can be generated for auditors. Training runs in a browser on any device, with rollout typically taking a few weeks after onboarding. Rootwurks also hosts the Weed Wonks Podcast.

Compliance and operations leads who need documented staff training and audit records can request a demo or quote through the site. Rootwurks also offers consulting alongside the platform and publishes webinars, case studies and a blog for prospective customers, plus a help center for current users. The company does not publish pricing or a list of states covered, so buyers should confirm that course content matches their state's rules.
