Treez provides point-of-sale software for cannabis dispensaries, covering in-store checkout, cashless payments through its own TreezPay product, e-commerce integration, loyalty programs, and retail analytics. It was the first cannabis POS to integrate with Metrc Connect for real-time compliance data exchange, and the company reports serving over 600 retail locations with roughly 15% of total US cannabis retail GMV running through its platform.

Founded in 2016 by John Yang and Shareef El-Sissi, Treez is headquartered in Oakland, California, and is co-led by John Yang and David Yan as Co-CEOs. It has raised venture funding through a Series C in 2023 ($51M led by Long Ridge Equity Partners, with Kayne Anderson and Synchrony participating), following earlier Series A (2018, $11.5M) and Series B rounds, and serves operators across 12+ US states.
