Terpli makes a virtual budtender for cannabis e-commerce. Its site carries a notice that Terpli is a registered trademark of Alpine IQ, Inc., and a post on its blog describes AIQ's acquisition, noting that Terpli was already built into AIQ's APIs before the deal. The about page lists co-founders Peter Kasper (CEO) and Eric Mercado (COO and CFO) and says Terpli makes more than 1,700 recommendations a day in more than 20 states or provinces. The site does not give a headquarters or founding year, and its footer copyright reads 2024.

Terpli plugs into a dispensary's online menu, asks shoppers about the effects and products they want, and recommends in-stock items using AI, verified customer reviews and terpene data from certificates of analysis. It gets that data through partnerships with lab LIMS providers: retailers upload COAs to a shared drive and Terpli extracts the figures. It offers loyalty rewards for engaging with the tool, reports on customer preferences, and installs on Dutchie, I Heart Jane, Tymber and other menus. Terpli claims its shoppers spend 25% more, return 30% sooner and convert 40% more often.

Testimonials on the site come from MariMed, The Source+, Arizona Organix, Noxx, Ponderosa, Battle Green and TradeRoots. On aiq.com, Terpli is sold as AIQ's AI Sales Agent and appears in AIQ's kiosk and e-commerce products, so most buyers will now contract through AIQ. Terpli does not publish pricing; the site offers a live demo and a booking form. AIQ has its own listing in this category. The site also lists premium add-ons and a client analytics dashboard for retailers using the tool.
