Spiritleaf operates more than 60 adult-use cannabis stores across Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan through a franchise model, in which independent franchise owners run individual stores with support from a central head office. Spiritleaf launched in 2018 under Inner Spirit Holdings Ltd., opening its first corporate stores in Calgary and Edmonton around the time of cannabis legalization. Sundial Growers Inc. (SNDL) acquired Inner Spirit Holdings and its Spiritleaf network in 2021. Inner Spirit also develops in-house product brands, including Spirit Joints, Prairie Flower, Stone Selects and Ruby.
