About Boston Freedom Rally
The Boston Freedom Rally is an annual cannabis-reform rally on Boston Common organized by MassCann/NORML, the Massachusetts Cannabis Reform Coalition, a nonprofit founded in 1989. Held over a weekend in September, the rally is described by the organization as New England's largest annual free cannabis event.
MassCann runs the rally as part of its broader advocacy work, which includes public education and lobbying on Massachusetts cannabis policy. The group holds regular meetings throughout the year to plan the rally and coordinate volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and performers for the two-day event.
