Aqualitas

Aqualitas Inc. is a Nova Scotia licensed producer of organically grown cannabis, presented as a division of Wellford. The idea began in the fall of 2014 when a small group of friends gathered in southwest Nova Scotia, and the company was first licensed in 2018. It says it is licensed to supply both the medical and adult-use markets. Myrna Gillis is chief executive officer and Jake Ward is head grower. Aqualitas does not publish a stock ticker or facility size.

Plants are grown in organic living soil made in Nova Scotia, with nutrient-rich water from an aquaponics system supported by more than 2,000 koi fish and without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Aqualitas describes itself as Canada's first Clean Green Certified organically produced cannabis and lists Organic, GAP, IMC-GAP, DEL, and EU-GMP among its credentials. It exports to the EU, Israel, Australia, and the USA, and Sindica serves as its research arm.

Medical patients register with a practitioner's authorization or transfer from another licensed producer. The catalogue includes dried cannabis and oils, plus capsules, topicals, and inhalers from partner brands. A Veterans Care Program supports veterans, and compassionate pricing is available. Export buyers and partners can reach the company through the contact page on its website. The first month's supply is covered for Canadian Armed Forces veterans while Veterans Affairs Canada approval is pending.
