AIQ (Alpine IQ)

AIQ, also called Alpine IQ, was established in 2019 to handle customer-data compliance in regulated industries and has grown into a wider retail suite. Founders Nicholas Paschal (CEO), Shahzil Abid (CTO) and West Paschal (CXO) lead the company, which describes itself as fully remote and lists a Broomfield, Colorado mailing address. Its about page cites more than 4,200 locations and 85-plus integrations, while its homepage says it has supported more than 7,000 retail locations and 200 million consumers. Cannabis is the first industry it lists, alongside nonprofits, political campaigns, venues, firearms and car washes.

For dispensaries, AIQ combines a loyalty engine, with reward tiers, gamification, sign-up across channels and Apple and Google wallet passes, with messaging by SMS, email, push, voice drop and direct mail. Automated flows cover abandoned carts, birthdays and win-backs, and Persona CRM handles segmentation. Its cannabis page lists age gating, two-factor sign-up, opt-in management and channel-specific restrictions as compliance tools. Other modules include branded mobile apps, online menus with purchase limits, analytics, Data Ops for syncing customer profiles, Loops ads that brands run in front of shoppers, and Astro, an AI assistant that drafts campaigns.

AIQ owns Terpli. Terpli's site carries an Alpine IQ trademark notice and a post about the acquisition, and aiq.com sells Terpli as its AI Sales Agent. AIQ also markets Happy Cabbage's Happy Buyers ordering tool as its Inventory Optimization product. AIQ does not publish pricing; buyers book a demo. It documents its POS, e-commerce and payments integrations in its help center. Terpli has its own listing in this category. AIQ's site says it was a Great Place To Work winner in 2024, 2025 and 2026 and ranked second among the fastest-growing US software companies on the 2024 Inc. 5000.
