The company has expanded through acquisition, buying GreenForce Staffing (Oregon/Arizona temp staffing, Sept. 2024), CannabizTeam's temp-staffing division CannabizTemp (April 2024), and Se7en Staffing & Employment Solutions (Missouri, June 2025).

Founded in 2016 by CEO Karson Humiston and headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Vangst has raised at least $29M in venture funding (Series A 2019, Series B 2022) from investors including Lerer Hippeau and Casa Verde Capital. It reports serving 2,000+ client businesses and over 300,000 workers on its platform, including roughly 90% of US multi-state cannabis operators.
