Seattle Hempfest

Seattle Hempfest is a free, volunteer-run cannabis policy rally held annually in Seattle, Washington. It began in 1991 as the Washington Hemp Expo with roughly 500 attendees and has grown into what its organizers describe as the world's largest annual cannabis reform event, drawing crowds over multiple days each August.

The event is organized entirely by volunteers and centers on free-speech and drug-policy advocacy rather than commercial sales, featuring speakers, musical performances, and information booths from cannabis-reform and civil-liberties groups. Hempfest states it charges no admission and instead relies on donations and vendor participation to fund the event.
