Rycon Construction

Rycon Construction, Inc. was founded in Pittsburgh on April 27, 1989 by Todd Dominick and William Taylor and is now 100 percent employee-owned. Its history page reports 850 office and field employees and $1.2 billion in revenue in 2025 across nine offices: Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Charlotte, Cleveland, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Houston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Headquarters is on Smallman Street in Pittsburgh's Strip District. It offers construction management, general contracting and design-build, and owns Craftworks USA, an in-house architectural woodwork and specialty fabrication shop.

Rycon keeps a cannabis market page and individual project pages. For Holistic Industries it built cultivation and processing centers in New Castle, Madison Heights and Beaver; the New Castle job included a 23,000-square-foot grow expansion with ten flower rooms, dehumidifiers, lighting, benching and drip irrigation, then a 17,000-square-foot renovation. For Liberty Cannabis it built dispensaries in Cranberry, Dormont and Aliquippa and a vault expansion, and Craftworks supplied display cases and casework. Other pages cover Rolling Embers, a new 3,000-square-foot dispensary in New Buffalo, Michigan, Little Beach Harvest, and dispensaries in towns such as Cincinnati, Paterson, Clifton Park and Peoria Heights.

Operators engage through the contact page; Rycon does not publish pricing. Its in-house millwork lets one contract cover both the building and the fixtures, which the Holistic and Liberty projects show. Most cannabis project pages give a scope summary and square footage rather than budgets, and the dispensary pages often omit the operator's name. Rycon also builds healthcare, retail, multifamily and industrial projects, so the cannabis group sits within a large national contractor.
