MCR Labs

MCR Labs is an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited testing network offering potency and terpene profiling, safety screening (heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, mycotoxins, microbial contaminants, vitamin E acetate, moisture/water activity), and plant-health services (pathogen speciation, Hop Latent Viroid detection, nutrient and environmental analysis) for cultivators, manufacturers and retailers. It also publishes a public product-testing database and 'The Cannabis Review.'

Founded in 2013 and headquartered at 85 Speen Street, Framingham, MA (its flagship lab), MCR Labs operates additional labs in Gardiner, ME and Utica, NY. In January 2025 MCR filed suit in Suffolk County Superior Court against eight Massachusetts-area competing labs, alleging manipulated results inflated THC potency and passed contaminated products; the case was pending as of the article's reporting.
