Kiva Confections

Kiva Confections began in 2010, when Scott and Kristi Palmer started making chocolate bars in their home kitchen, according to the company's about page. It describes itself as family owned and reports more than 400 employees. The site's terms of use name the operating company as Kiva Brands, Inc. and give a legal-notice address in Alameda, California. The where-to-buy page lists 15 states where licensed retailers carry its products: California, Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Missouri, New Mexico and Florida. A 2022 news post announced a Canadian launch with producer Greentone.

The portfolio runs across five lines: Kiva chocolate bars, Terra chocolate-covered bites, Petra mints, Camino gummies and fruit chews, and Lost Farm, a strain-specific line of gummies and chews made with live resin and solventless rosin. The catalog also lists a vape format. Products are labeled with THC, CBD and CBN content, and Kiva says its child-resistant bar carton is biodegradable and its Terra and Camino tins are all-metal and recyclable.

Dispensaries start a retail order through the contact form on the FAQ page, and the store locator links to a Become a Retailer request. Kiva does not publish wholesale pricing. Its lab-testing page says it follows state-mandated protocols in each market, works with Anresco Labs in California and has screened for more than 150 pesticides there since May 2017, testing raw cannabis, extracts and finished goods. A separate hemp-derived Camino line ships directly to consumers in other states through a second site run by Kiva Products, LLC.
