Jencap Group LLC lists its corporate headquarters at 1350 Broadway in New York and describes itself as a national wholesale insurance intermediary serving retail agents through wholesale brokerage, binding authority and program management. It reports 49 offices countrywide, says it is licensed to work with retail offices in any state, and administers 30 programs with a mix of admitted and non-admitted products. Its cannabis practice is led by Lee Woodruff, vice president of the Jencap cannabis practice. Like the other wholesalers here, Jencap works with the operator's agent rather than with the operator directly.

The practice targets dispensaries and retailers, growers and cultivators, processors and manufacturers, property owners and managers, secure transport and transportation services, testing labs, professional services and ancillary businesses. Its coverage list includes auto, business interruption, general liability, crime, difference in conditions, D&O, employment practices, equipment breakdown, goods in process, inland marine, living plant (crop), special-form property, product liability, product withdrawal and recall, professional liability, site pollution, stock and inventory, umbrella and workers' compensation. Jencap says it has access to more than 50 cannabis markets, accepts new ventures and prior losses, and offers high property values and excess property.

Agents request a quote or appointment through Jencap; operators should ask their own agent to submit. Jencap does not publish pricing. One feature stands out from other wholesalers here: an exclusive site pollution liability program, which Jencap lists among the reasons agents bring cannabis accounts to it. The practice offers occurrence and claims-made forms, monoline or packaged, and handles multi-state operations including transportation. It publishes regular articles on topics such as power-outage gaps in cannabis policies, protective safeguards requirements and product liability under federal hemp rules.
