Grön

Grön was started by Christine Apple, an architect who moved to Oregon in 1999 and left her architecture career to make cannabis chocolate. The about page gives two start dates, saying the company was founded in 2015 and that Apple started Grön in 2014. The company describes itself as women-led. Its privacy policy names the operating company as Gron Holdings, Inc. with an address in Clackamas, Oregon. The first product was a single dark chocolate bar, and the company says its lines are now available internationally; a Canada page on the site reads coming soon.

The range covers sugar-coated Pearls sold ten to a pack, single-piece MEGA Pearls, candy-coated chocolate Pips and fair trade chocolate bars, with a medical troche sold in Pennsylvania. Many SKUs are built on cannabinoid ratios that combine THC with CBD, CBC, CBG or CBN. Grön also runs seasonal limited editions, such as the hash rosin Arcana releases for Halloween, and launches products state by state, including chocolate in New Jersey and Pips in New York.

The where-to-buy page names Arizona, Illinois, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Oregon, while the site keeps separate state pages for California, Colorado, Michigan, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Washington as well. It does not explain how production is handled outside Oregon or publish a wholesale program or pricing; dispensaries would start with the contact page, which collects inquiries by form. A test-results page is linked from the footer, and the state pages describe which formats have launched in each market; the Ohio page, for example, names Sugar-Coated Pearls and MEGAs.
