extraktLAB manufactures supercritical CO2 extraction equipment at 500 Simmon Drive in Osceola, Wisconsin, where it runs a 38,000-square-foot manufacturing and demonstration facility that includes a 10-ton-per-day processing operation. It says its equipment was developed in 2014 by PhD separation chemists and engineers. Jon Thompson, PhD, is chief executive officer and Nathan Thompson, CPA, is chief operations and financial officer. extraktLAB says its equipment is used primarily in the hemp and botanical extraction industries, so licensed marijuana processors should confirm fit and any state equipment approvals before buying.

The e-180 is its largest extractor, rated at 846 to 1,058 pounds of biomass a day at 16 to 20 kilograms per cycle in a 48-square-foot footprint, with programmable co-solvent methods, a 0 to 5,000 psi range and data capture; several units together reach about 5,064 pounds a day or tie into continuous automation. Smaller e-110 and e-140 extractors, a subcritical water extractor, ethanol extraction, the clearSTILL wiped-film distillation units, the fracTron falling-film solvent recovery units, chromatography, CBD isolate equipment and CO2 supply systems round out the catalog.

Services include feasibility studies, process and facility layout design, GMP compliance support, standard formulations and product services, manufacturing line commissioning, and on-site workforce training covering installation, operating procedures and method validation, which it says continues until the customer's team is producing oil. The company publishes free guides and white papers and the extrakTALKS podcast, and it posts certification and compliance documentation on a dedicated page.
