Epstein

Epstein is a multidisciplinary architecture, engineering and construction firm headquartered at 600 West Fulton in Chicago, with offices in New York City, Raleigh and Warsaw. Abraham Epstein founded it on July 15, 1921 as a structural engineering consultancy on Chicago's west side, and the firm later became 100 percent employee-owned. Its history page traces work from industrial plants and large mixed-use developments to the Javits Center expansion in New York. Cannabis is one of several sectors, alongside food and protein processing, laboratories and retail, where it uses its design-build delivery model.

In a cannabis practice overview dated October 12, 2022, Epstein says it had designed more than 20 dispensaries and over 1 million square feet of cultivation facility design and construction since 2020, and names Cresco Labs, Green Thumb Industries and Jushi Holdings as clients. Its MEP engineers design HVAC to control airflow, temperature and humidity for mother, vegetative and flowering rooms, and process engineers lay out the production flow. It does not publish fees and its cannabis overview has not been updated since 2022, so buyers should ask for current cannabis project references.
