Detroit Dispensing Solutions (DDS) designs and manufactures cannabis processing automation at 1179 Maplelawn Drive in Troy, Michigan, and says all of its equipment is designed, engineered and built in the US. The company cites more than a decade of experience designing and manufacturing automation equipment but does not give a founding year or describe its ownership. It says it primarily serves the cannabis and hemp industries, and the customers it names include Curaleaf, Cresco Labs, Green Thumb Industries, Trulieve, TerrAscend, Vireo, C3 Industries, Fernway and Mitten Extracts.

The FX-8 infuses whole or ground flower with distillate, live resin, rosin, kief or THCa in five-minute cycles, using a precision spray valve in a controlled chamber. For vapes, the CFM-1800 fills and caps vape cartridges, and the CFS-1800 is a compact cartridge filling system. The CDS-1000 dispenses concentrates across a wide range of viscosities. DDS also sells benchtop vacuum ovens for solvent purging, high-capacity decarboxylation ovens, consumables and spare parts. It cites dosing accuracy of plus or minus 1 percent and says cartridge automation can save more than $300,000 a year in labor for operations filling 14,000 or more cartridges per shift.
