Cannasure Insurance Services traces its start to 2010, when its founders helped a friend opening a medical marijuana cooperative in Southern California find business owner's coverage. The brand now sits inside One80 Intermediaries, a privately held wholesale broker and program manager with more than 55 locations in the US and Canada, and the old cannasure.com domain forwards to One80's site. Cannasure's own page lists its corporate headquarters in the Western Reserve Building on West 9th Street in Cleveland. Patrick McManamon is listed as founder and cannabis program practice leader, with Kieran J. O'Rourke as underwriting manager.

The flagship Cannabis and Hemp Package Program is written on a carrier rated A-VIII by A.M. Best and is available nationwide to dispensaries, cultivators, processors and manufacturers, testing labs, landlords and ancillary businesses. Property capacity runs to $65 million per location, with a $250,000 spoilage sublimit under equipment breakdown and a campus blanket option for multi-building sites. General liability goes to $5 million per occurrence and aggregate on an occurrence form with defense outside limits and budtender professional liability included; products and completed operations go to $5 million on a claims-made form with a $2,500 base deductible. A $5 million excess layer and excess property are also offered.

Cannasure sells only through licensed agents and brokers, who get appointed and submit through One80; its brokerage division adds crime, cyber, D&O, flood, surety and workers' compensation alongside the package. A submission needs the package application, loss runs and, for cultivators, a lighting supplemental application. The site does not publish pricing. Operators interested in the program should ask their own agent whether it is appointed with Cannasure. The site says the firm serves hundreds of clients but gives no state list beyond describing the program as available nationwide.
