Aeropay

Aeropay is a fintech that provides pay-by-bank (ACH/account-to-account) payment infrastructure for the cannabis industry, letting shoppers link a bank account and pay directly at checkout, in-store, or via delivery instead of using cash or cards. Its stack includes Aerosync for fast bank-account verification and Guard for AI-driven fraud prevention, with same-day settlement and processing costs the company markets as roughly half those of card payments. Aeropay is SOC 2 Type II certified and publishes native integrations across most major cannabis POS, delivery, and loyalty platforms.

Aeropay is led by founder and CEO Daniel Muller and is headquartered in Chicago, where it has expanded its office as the local fintech scene has grown; it also serves gaming, QSR, and other regulated verticals with the same payment rails. The company raised a $20M Series B in May 2024 led by Group 11 (with Chicago Ventures and Continental Investment Partners), reported cash-flow profitability in Q4 2023, and says it now processes over $1 billion in annual payment volume.
