DEA administrative hearing on rescheduling all marijuana convenes
An expedited hearing before a DEA administrative law judge on whether marijuana as a whole should move to Schedule III. Convened June 29, 2026 and concluded July 15 after 11 days of testimony; post-hearing briefs were due August 17. As of late September the ALJ's recommended decision had not been posted; parties then have 20 days to file exceptions before the Administrator issues a final order. No dated next step yet.
